An hour’s drive from Cape Town past Stellenbosch & Franschhoek, on the way to the coastal town of Hermanus lies the Overberg Town of Grabouw.

The town is surrounded by the Hottentot Hollands, Kogelberg and Groenberg mountain ranges to form the cool mountain plateau of the Elgin Valley. And situated on the South Eastern side of this Valley, lies South Hill Vineyards. 

Elgin Valley is fast becoming known for not just its top cool climate producing wine route, but also a romantic destination wedding region as well as the outdoor adventure capital of South Africa. 

Our pristine vineyards produce top-quality cool climate grapes & wines; luxury farm-stay experience accommodation; an art gallery of continually changing local art. A double volume space for creating unique personalized functions & weddings, and our Canvas Café serving delicious bistro country style brekkies and long lazy lunches, as well as catering, outstanding curated dining, canapes and brunches for all your wedding requirements.

Our weddings exceed the ordinary, under the stars among the vines, the ambience is set for your special day of elegant memories. Combining rustic charm with modern elegance, creating a setting that’s truly unforgettable. Explore the versatility of our venue. Indoors, we offer cosy seating for up to 70 guests, complete with a vibrant bar and great sound for the dance floor to keep the energy alive. For those who love the outdoors, our expansive lawn can accommodate up to 150 guests under Bedouin tent, providing stunning views and an absolutely breathtaking natural backdrop.

As for accommodation on site, a stay for the wedding couple in the ever-popular dam-side cottage, The Pumphouse, yes, you heard right, plus up to 12 guests in The Villa. In addition, we offer a pop-up Glamping Village with luxury tents for up to an additional 80 guests. Wake up to the serene sound of nature, sip your morning coffee overlooking tranquil gardens, and spend your days exploring the lush surroundings and a few bottles of your new favourite wine brand.
